This gallery contains a number of images of buses that are owned and run by Stagecoach. I don't see too many of them around these parts, but I do occasionally bump into the odd one, so this is where you will find them.

Accrington's new 6.4 million pound bus station opened on Sunday 10th of July, but to a mixed reaction from the travelling public. The building looks quite impressive, but the location chosen hasn't gone down too well with many of the passengers, particularly the elderly and disabled, who now face a much longer walk with heavy shopping bags to the Market and Market Hall, which were just a few yards from the old bus station. Whether any new bus stops will be added around the old location to placate the critics remains to be seen, and the area appeared to be undergoing pedestrianisation one my last visit.
The new building itself looks quite nice, but I wasn't happy that they'd demolished the building that used to be the old and legendary 'Blockade' pub to create the entrance/exit, good job I took a photo of it last year while I still had the opportunity. The photos shown here show how it looked on its second week in action, no doubt I will add a few more at some future date when things have settled down a bit.

With the ELR taking a winter break again from the 2nd of January to the 10th of February 2024, I found myself yet again with not much to do, and after a couple of weeks without so much as a whiff of steam, I naturally did what any self-respecting 'anorak' would do - yes, I went and took a photo of the rusty rails, and also a few shots of the empty platform and 'party coach' temporarily parked outside of the Buffer Stops pub at Rawtenstall Station. And yes again, I did get a few funny looks from the boozers there, who were somewhat amused at the sight of someone photographing these things. It's a good job that I'm so obsessive about these things that I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks anyway!:-)
My second visit was on Sunday 4th of February, and though regular services hadn't yet been restarted, there was a Dining Train added at the last minute, so I wasn't going to miss that after 4 weeks without a whiff of steam.
