I had a few hours at the ELR on Sunday 8th of April, mainly to see what was running on the Dining Train, but sadly the loco failed near Summerseat and I was left sitting around twiddling my thumbs for nearly an hour and a half before City of Wells finally appeared looking impressive as always in its 'Golden Arrow' livery. The Class 33 'Captain Bill' was on the diesel diagram, so I stayed behind to catch a few shots of that when it finally arrived at Rawtenstall.

My second non-event visit of April took place on the 22nd, and this wasd mainly due to there being no other events in the area on that weekend. I decided to see what was running on the Dining Train, which in this case turned out to be the Class A, and service trains in use were 'The Crab', which was looking very nice with its ELRPS headboard on, and the 'Peak' which was working on the diesel diagram.
