It was nice to finally get to my first bus event of the year, and at least the trams were running into the city this time, although there were still no train services due to the ongoing engineering works. You always know that Spring isn't too far away when the Greater Manchester's Museum of Transport is having it's annual 'Spring Spectacular', though yet again Manchester failed to live up to its rainy reputation, and gave us a fine and sunny day that really did feel almost Spring-like. A regular shuttle service using a number of buses from the museum's collection ran between Boyle Street and the city centre, though this was forced to use an alternative route for a while after a couple of car drivers decided it would be a good idea to wrap their cars around each other on the junction leading into Corporation Street, where the buses were picking up and dropping off. It was nice to have my first decent bus fix of the year, I do start to get a bit twitchy if I go for too long without seeing or riding on a heritage double-decker or two!:-)
