Hard to believe that this was the fourth of these Leeds Classic Bus Running Day events, I've been to all four of them, and it doesn't seem like 5 minutes since that first memorable one. The format was slightly different for this year, with the services to Kirkstall Abbey and Temple Newsome having been dropped, and services being concentrated on the route between the Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills, The Middleton Railway, and the Thwaite Mills Watermill Museum. Services were well used, with many of the buses almost full, but I did miss the usual high level of activity in the city centre this time, and with less services there did seem to be much longer waits there for buses to appear, which then didn't stay there as long, which compared to last year was a little confusing for some visitors if the number that stopped me to ask where they were running from was anything to go by, with no signs or anything when no buses were present it wasn't always obvious that something was taking place. Maybe it was just me that had been spoiled in my recent visits, but somehow I seemed to enjoy the museum visits more than the bus running this time, and didn't take anything like my usual number of photos (not a bad thing I heard someone say!).

My thanks to all the organisers, bus owners, museums and volunteers, and I hope this event will be back again next year under its new organisers.
