After having missed all of the earlier bus events this year due to health issues, it was wonderful to finally get out to a decent event at long last, and a really good one at that. It's hard to believe that this event is only in its 3rd year, it gets bigger and better every time it seems. Unlike 2016, when many of the buses and stalls (other than the ones that were doing the runs around the area and arriving and departing from the school car park) and were located in a field, this year they were inside the nearby Roberts Park, and this meant that a lot more of the park visitors were able to enjoy looking at them. The Sun shone brightly as well, but thankfully it wasn't so warm that it was uncomfortable, and with the slight breeze that was blowing it was all very pleasant. What with the Shipley Glen Tramway close by, and the World Heritage site of Saltaire, this seems like a near perfect location for such events. One of the amusing highlights of the day for me was when I disembarked from a red 'London Bus' outside Salt's Mill, and a party of Spanish Tourists, who were just exiting the building, imediatelly descended on it and started snapping away with their cameras - I wonder what they would have thought if they'd seen just how many other lovely heritage buses there were sitting in the nearby park?:-)

I'm already looking forward to next year's event, and a big thank to to all the bus owenrs, volunteers and the Keighley Bus Museum Trust who were the organisers of the event.

NOTE# - If you'd like to see a cracking video of the event check out Mollsmyre's YouTube page at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB7aaM_SYZA&feature=em-uploademail
