Home / Heritage Gallery / Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum at Rochdale / Military Vehicles & Open Day - 7th of May 2017 [44]

I always enjoy a visit to the Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum in Rochdale, especially when there is a special event taking place at one of their monthly Open Days, which take place on the first Sunday in each month. It seems like ages since I was last there, and as I wasn't able to make it to the UK Coach Show in Blackpool due to health reasons, a short visit here, and a chance to try out a new lens was a very good substitute. The theme this time was Military Vehicles, and yet again it was a bright and sunny day, so I had the usual problems with glare from all that gleaming chrome (I'm just glad that I'm not the one who has to clean the stuff). This museum is always well worth a visit if you are in the area, and as it is just yards away from Rochdale Railway Station it's a very easy place to get to.
