For the past several years I have kept meaning to pay a visit to the famous Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend, but due to various health problems and other conflicting events have never quite managed it. This year I was determined to put that right, and thankfully I was able to get there on Sunday 6th of August, and well worth the trip there it was too. With over several hundred vehicles on display I very quickly decided that it would be too much like hard work to try and photograph them all, and with large numbers of visitors there getting in the way it would probably have taken me far too much time anyway. Instead I decided to just concentrate on getting more general shots of the venue, plus a few close ups of some of the more interesting vehicles and displays.
A thoroughly enjoyable day it was too, and if I'd realised just how different the two days are I would have gone on the Saturday as well, but I'm sure I may well be back again next year, as Hebden Bridge itself is always quite photogenic, and I even managed time for a short visit into the town and a bit of 'street photography' before returning home (these can be found in the 'Visits to Hebden Bridge' collection in the 'Local Events & Images Gallery'. My thanks to all the organisers and staff for a very impressive event, and a very enjoyable one as well.
